which promptly broke diplomatic relations with the united states. Matters
worsened when the two countries disputed texas's southwest border . Mexico
wanted to move texas's border north but the U.S. wanted to keep the border as it
was. This war between mexico and the united states was brutal but was eventual
settle when the U.S. won. Texas's borders still remain the same to this day.
